This page is dedicate to the build of my phenix red (with a pearl) 1990 Vnss. I bought the car a little over three years ago for $4700 but it had a lot of ks and was in need of a paint freshin up. But i drove it roud in that state for almost a year (running interceptors all round) until money was saved and fun had been had until i took it to Boyd's in ararat for the ree spray it still shows... Picking up some 17" internationls from mate Ray at Stawell Auto wreckers. then just did basic maintnance for another year or more until the smoke blowin motor and slipping clutch had anoyed me enough!!!

Through reading street commodores from age 17 i went through back isues to find a number of cars (easy11) and so on havin the heart i wanted. made a list of parts and other goodies the headed to B&B in Clayton Melb to get one hell of a cool motor built. For my budget any way. This list encludes Come 355 crank, Scat H-beam rods, SRP forged 10.8:1 comp pistons, crane288 cam, yella terra rockers, Vn heads cnc ported to 580hp, pavtec bottom end bearing gurdle, Hi energy 7L sump, then my custom build TT manifold with super charged 6 injectors feeding air and fuel!

While the motor was away it was a good time to spend some time on the engine bay and the underside of the car. Scarped all the old body deadner of the ree sprayed in some new stuff. Then welded all unwanted holes in the bay and smoothed it all out and ree sprayed same colour as the car. (all completed by me)

Now just waiting on getting the motor back get the auto re built new diff with higher gears and a spool and some finishing touches then will iron out the bugs and hit the tracks...
